Joseph Johnston

Joseph is an Associate Lawyer at Gionet Fairley Wood LLP. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2026 after completing his Articles of Clerkship with the firm. Joseph has a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Nipissing University and an LL.B (Hons) law degree from the University of Kent in Canterbury, United Kingdom.

Joseph maintains a broad litigation practice, representing clients in construction, commercial, real estate, and estate litigation, as well as debt collection matters and contractual and property disputes. Joseph is committed to delivering practical, strategic, and results-oriented advocacy tailored to each client's unique circumstances while remaining mindful of cost and efficiency.

Joseph has appeared before various levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court.

Outside of his legal practice, Joseph enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son and staying active through a variety of recreational sports.
