Jack Brissette
Law Student
Jack is joining the GFW team as a law student, bringing a strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail to the firm's litigation practice.
He has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from City St George’s, University of London, and is currently preparing for his National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) exams. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a focus on Criminology from Brock University.
Before pursuing law, Jack spent several years working in the landscaping industry. This hands-on background instilled in him a practical, grounded approach to problem-solving that he applies directly to his legal research and client advocacy.
Originally from Toronto and now based in Barrie, Jack is deeply committed to supporting the local businesses and people that make the community thrive. Outside the office, he is a passionate Formula 1 fan, a die-hard supporter of Toronto’s sports teams and never misses a chance to explore somewhere new.
GFW’s lawyers focus exclusively on litigation, advocacy, and dispute resolution. We advise clients regarding a variety of commercial disputes, whether construction or contractual matters, partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial leasing, employment law, property disputes, and other business disputes. Assisting clients with these disputes requires negotiating in our client’s best interests, having regard to the issues and the impact on our clients’ business and lives.
While business disputes benefit from business resolutions, a negotiated resolution is not always possible. Our team of lawyers has extensive experience taking matters to trial or arbitration hearings when a negotiated solution is not available. We believe that it is important to retain advocates who work to achieve your best negotiated resolution, backed up by trial experience should such a resolution not be possible.
GFW’s lawyers have represented clients at all levels of courts in Ontario, as well as various administrative tribunals, such as the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and Workplace Safety Insurance Board, Boundaries Act Tribunal, Ontario Land Tribunal, and other administrative bodies. We are also actively involved in settlement negotiations and alternate dispute resolutions.
At Gionet Fairley Wood LLP, we are dedicated to providing practical, client-centered legal solutions that effectively resolve disputes while prioritizing the needs of our community.
Our experienced litigators focus exclusively on advocacy and dispute resolution, delivering strategic advice tailored to each client's unique situation. We strive to build long-term relationships based on trust and integrity, guiding our clients through the complexities of legal challenges with clarity and care. Our commitment to fostering an environment of collaboration ensures that our clients feel valued and understood, empowering them to navigate their legal journeys with confidence.
