About Joshua
Josh attended the University of Ottawa, where he earned his Bachelor of Social Science with Joint Honours in Economics and Political Science. After graduating, Josh gained hands-on experience in construction and later in politics prior to law school. Josh earned his Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Dundee in Scotland.
Prior to joining Gionet Fairley Wood, Josh articled at a busy litigation firm where he developed a strong foundation in advocacy, file management, and client relations. He gained valuable hands-on experience attending Ontario Superior Court trials and working directly with clients through every stage of the litigation process, experiences and skills that continue to inform his work in construction law, civil litigation, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, estate litigation, and shareholder and partner disputes.
Raised in Innisfil, Josh has deep roots in the community and a genuine commitment to the people and businesses that make it thrive. Having grown up in a family-run small business, he understands firsthand the challenges and rewards of building something of your own, and he brings that perspective to every file he handles.
Outside the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and their two chocolate labs, Millie and Marvin. He stays active at the gym, plays rec hockey in the winter, and golf in the summer. A devoted fan of the Jays, the Leafs, and the Bills, he is no stranger to perseverance.
